Join us on Saturday, November 15th, at the West Thunder Community Centre (915 South Edward Street) in Thunder Bay! The Fair is designed to provide families with some excellent information on future planning for their loved ones on topics such as wills and estates, the Canada Disability Benefit, Registered Disability Savings Plans, and more. Jill Teeple, Executive Director of Partners for Planning

Jill Teeple has been involved with the inclusion movement for more than 20 years and is currently the Executive Director of Partners for Planning, an organization that supports people with intellectual disabilities and their families to build inclusive lives firmly rooted in community. Prior to her time at Partners for Planning, Jill spent 18 years as an Investment Advisor in London, Ontario where she specialized in financial planning for people with a disability and their families. She continues to hold the Certified Financial Planner designation.
Partners for Planning is a national non-profit organization that supports people with a developmental disability and their families to be proactive in planning for the future. The were founded in 2009, by families and for families, to help answer the question "Who will love and protect our sons and daughters when we no longer can?"
Come and meet Kubira Jamal, Barrier Free Benefits Regional Navigator - Ontario, from Inclusion Canada! She will be available to talk to families and booking meetings for the week or two after the event to support people to apply for the Disability Tax Credit, Canada Disability Benefit or other federal programs. This program is free!
Alyvia Cotter, Lawyer @ Weiler, Maloney, Nelson LLP
Alyvia is born and raised in Thunder Bay and understands the unique needs of people living in Northwestern Ontario. Her firm is very active in the local community, participating in various events and information fairs, and has long been a group that TBFN has brought in for info and education sessions for families.
Dominique Chenard, CPA, CA, CFP, Chenard Wealth & Advisory Services Inc.
Dominique is an independent financial planner local to Thunder Bay, with a background as a Chartered Professional Accountant. When working with clients, she provide them with guidance on navigating RDSP accounts, applying for and monitoring their Disability Tax Credit eligibility, and incorporating the family member's disability into the household's overall financial plan. She has clients with minor and adult children with disabilities, as well as adults that have plans of their own. Dominique offers free consultations for individuals that are looking for guidance and "pointers" to get started, but are not sure if they have a need for an ongoing financial planner relationship.
